Nomination 1 sow, acceptance 2 sovs. Hack Hurdle Race of 10 sovs. One and a half miles, over six flights of hurdles, 3ft Din high. lOstup. Post entry 10s. Uaidcn Plate of 20 sovs. One and a half miles, Weight for age. Open for horses which have never won a public stake of over 15 sovs, Hack, Hack Hurdles, and Steeplechases excepted, notwilhsiandinij any of the Ckb's rules to the cuntnmi. Entrance 2 sovs. sovs, second horse to receive 5 sovs from the stakes. Two miles. Nomination 1 80V, acceptance 2 sovs. Novel Race, of 15 sovs. One and a half miles. Catch weights, The winner to become the absolute property of the Club, and to be sold by public auction ten minutes after the race, the proceeds to go to the Club's fund. Post entrance 10s. Hack Race of 10 sovs. Once round the course. Catch weights. Post entrance 10s. Clareville Handicap of 30 sovs. One and a half miles, second horse to savo his stake. Nomination 1 sov, acceptance 30s. Consolation Handicap (if practicable) of ~ sovs, Unco round the course. Nomination 10s, acceptance 1 sov. RULES AND REGULATIONS. All entries must lie made subject to the condition that all disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by a lajoiity of Stewards present, or whom they may appoint, and that such decision shall ho final and binding in all casts. Nominations for Handicap Hurdle Race, I'aratahi - Carterton Jockey Club Handicap, and Clareville Handicap, to be made in writing, stating name, pedigree, performances, description and name of horse, and the colors of the rider, and to be sent in accompanied by tho nomination fee to the lion. Secretary, G. W. Deller, Carterton, on or before Wednesday, 3rd February, lSSii,!) p.m. Weights to be declared on or before Monday, the Bth February, ISS6, and published in local newspapers. Acceptances and General entries to be made on or before Friday, 12th February, 1886, at 9 p.m. Three entries, or the public money will bo •ithdield. Mo protest will be considered unless lodged with the Secretary within ten minute:) after the race, accompanied by a deposit of two pounds, whichshall he forfeited if the Stewards lire of opinion that the protest is frivolous or vexatious All jockeys to ride in the colors nominated, or a fine of 13ov will he enforced, fho saddling bell will ring at 11,30 a.m,, first race to start at 12 noon, sharp.
