The following is a full report of tho run ning for the Auckland Cup. Betting—3 to 1 agst Tasman, 4 to 1 Necklace, 5 to 1 Stoneyhurst, 10 to 1 Foul Shot, Refrigerator, Woodnymph, Nelson, Waitiri, 22 to 1 Torpedo, 100 to 5, Turquoise, Radames Victory, 100 to 3 Victoria, There was a splendid start in front of tho grand stand, Mr Stephens, ■ the starter, being loudly cheered as the Held of 15 horses went away, the horses being so close for the first 100 yards that the positions' could not he distinguished. Then TetJ ford wont to the front, followed by Necklace, Woodnymph next. Passing the stand after the first round Tetford led, with Necklace second, and Tasman third, all the rest in a group. At the back of the course Tasman and Nelson came up at a great pace with Victoria, who, on emerging from the cutting, was in front, Commencing the home turn Victoria was still in the van, but Nelson now came through, very fast, and from thence the result was never in doubt, tho son of King Cole winning easily by five lengths; Waitiri, who had ' come with a great rush, second, two lengths in front of Victoria, who was third, Foul Shot led the second division. Tasman was fifth, Stoneyhurst sixth. Time, 4mins, 1359 in the totalisatsr, 48 on the.winner; dividend, £SO 19s; tickets, £2 each.
