The races will be ran under the Waitarapa Jockey Club rules, whon not contrary to these regulations. Tho saddling bell will ring at 11,30, and the first race starts at 12 sharp, No entry will be received, oxcopt on condition that all disputes shall be loft to the decision of a majority of tho Stewards present, or those whom they may appoint; their decision on all points must bo accepted as final. Any jockey riding oxccpt in tho colors ontcred will be fined £2. All protests must be made in writing and lodgo& with the Secretary, with a deposit of £l, within fifteen minutes after tho race. tho_ deposit to be forfeited if the Stewards consider the protest frivolous or vexatious. Ownerß are particularly requested to observ that to avoid being fined, notion of scratcliinga must bo handed to tho Secretary fifteen minutes before tho time appointed to start. A hack horse is ono in actual uso as a hack and which has never run for any other than hack races.

Entries and acceptances must be made in writing and addrossed to the' Secretary of tho F.R.0., Fcatherston, accompanied by the necessary fees with namo, pedigree, age and color of horse and (in cases of handicap, tho previous performances) also colors to be worn . The Starter has the power to place fraction! or kicking horses and disobedient jockeys in any position he thinks necessary to secure a fair start, and fines for disobedience will be striotly 'nforceil.
