THE BAD AND WORTHLESS
Are never {imitated or counterfeited., This is especially true of a family medicine, ■ -awl it is positive proof that the remedy imitated is of the highest value. 1 As soon as it had been teßted and proved by the whole world that Hop Bitters was the purest, best, and moat valuab o medicine on earth, many imitations sprang up and began to steal the notices in which the press and people of the country had expressed the merits of H, 8,, and in every way trying to induce suffering invalids . to use their stuff instead, expecting to . make money on the credit and good name of H, B. Many others started nostrums put up in similar style to H. 8., with ■ variously devised names in which the ic word " Hop" or" Hops" were uied in a •'Y; way to induce people to believe that they ' were the same as Hop Bittera. All such pretended remedies, no matter what - their style or name is, lind especially ; those with the word " Hop" or "Hops" in their name, or in any way connected with them or their name, are imitations •; .or counterfeits. Beware of'them. Touch ; none of them. ÜBe npthing but genuine American . Hop Bitters, with a cluster of green Hops on the white label, and Dr Soulo's naineblqAi in the glass. Trust nothing else. gyDruggists and Chemists are warned against dealing in imitations or j counterfeits.
In one of the law courts, a juryman being called and not answering, the usual notice that he would be fined was pronounced against him, upon which a person who stood by said to the court," You may iine'.him as much as you please, but 1 don't think you will evor recover the fine, for I saw him buried about a week ago." Mothers Don't Kxoav.—How many children are punished for being uncouth, wilful and indifferent to instructions or reward simply because they are out of y- health 1 An intelligent lady said of a child \ of this kind : " Mother don't know that ■' she should give the little one moderate doses of American Go's Hop Bitters for two.or three weeks, and the child would be all a parent could desire," A Lovely Uuaplet.—A late fashion report says: "Nothing can be prettier than a chaplet of hop vines in blossom," A recent medical review says: " Nothing cail be a better renovator of the health than American Hop Bitters, They aid in all the operations of nature; toning up the stomach, assisting the food to become properly assimilated, and promote healthy action in all the organs. The dictates of . fashion, as well as the laws of health, alike favour a right application of hops." Read.
