The official reception of L»rd Carrington, the new Governor, took place this afternoon. An account of the engagement further states that after aevere fighting the Servians dislodged the Bulgarians from their position at Valikiyvor killing and woundin? many of their number. London, December 12, The Times of this morning states that Russia, Austria and Germany have agreed to abandon the demands recently formulated by them for the restoration of the status quo in the Balkan peninsular. The Daily News has an article to-day on the Irish difficulty, in which suggestions are made that a conference of Liberals and Conservative parties, together with representatives from Mr Parnells following shall assemble to consider the subject of political autonomy for Ireland.
