'Sofia, Novomber 18. Telegrams to hand state that Prince Alexander yesterday carried die Servians' positions, which were menacing Slivinitza, and forced the invaders to retire, . Rangoon, November 18. Advices from Major-General Premiergasfc announce that tho British forces have captured Minlila, Tho fighting was of a very stubborn character, and lasted fully three hours, the whole of the Burmese positions being-earned by assault. The British loss is slight, and Major-General Prendergast is now pushing on to Mandalay,
Calcutta, November 18, Intelligence to hand from Burmah states that the British forces operating on the Irrawaddy captured Minlila without much opposition. An obstinate resistance, however, was 'made by the enemy at the palace on the opposite side of the river, the engagement lasting several hours, and ultimately resulting in WoonV men driving out the Burmese, and inflicting heavy losses upon them. Belgrade, November 18.
A despatch from tho army in Bulgaria announces that the division which crossed the Siriiok a few days ago, captured Widdin, while the forces operating in the south have taken Radomir. The division advancing upon Slivinitza met with a check, as the Bulgarian troops attacked and captured"Servian positions in that neighborhood after an obstinate engagement. Sofia, November 18. It is estimated that the Servians sustained a loss of upwards of three thousand in killed and wounded in the fighting near Slivinitza. The Bulgarian lossesjare not yet reported.
