NASTERTON ROAD BOARD.

A SFEoiAi meeting of the Board waa held yesterday. Present:—Messrs Beetham (Chairman), Dagg, Meredith, and Jelin-, soil, The object was to take into conaideration Mr D. Donald's letter applying for a piece of land at the Uriti shipping place, and also one from Messrs Moore and Donald relativo to the same matter. It was moved by Mr Beetham and seconded by Mr Dagg, That the opinion of the Board's solicitors be taken as . to the Board's power to lease the piece of land applied for, and if it is his opinion that they can legally do so the application be granted, The proposed shed shall only be used by settlers within the Special Rating Districts. Mr Meredith moved the following amendment That beforo deciding the matter, the opinion of all the ratepayers be taken. It was also decided, That tho deviation suggested on the Uriti road by Messrs Moore, Hitchings, and Meredith be agreed to. The Board then adjourned.
