The ordinary monthly meeting of tlio above Board was held an Saturday. Present.—Messrs B. Boys (Chairman) W. Booth, A. Gallon, W. Parker, J. Reynolds, E. W, Dorset, Henry Braithwaite, H. 11, Bunny, and N. Grace. The minutes of the previous meeting wore read and confirmed, The Treasurer reported a credit balance of £39 8s Bd. Mr W. Hart waited on the Board and asked if they would remunerate him for falling some bush on the road known as Haines' line,
On the motion of Mr W, Booth the request waa acceeded to. A letter was read from Mr Jas. Hodder asking to have a culvert repaired on his line of road. It was resolved to leave the matter in the hands of the warden for No. 5 ward. _ Tenders for bush fellintf on Joseph's line, Matarawa, were opened, and that of W. 0, Oordishat 9s 9d per chain was accepted, Mr H, R, Bunny gave notice that he would move at the next meeting, that the Government subsidy, when received, be expended in Nos, 1 .and 8 wards. Messrs J. Reynolds and E. W. Dorset raised some objections to the motion, but it was allowed to stand over for further discussion at the next meeting. Mr A. Gallon applied for leave to advertise for tenders for clearing 40 chains on a line of road in his ward, but as the line was not properly delineated on the survey map it was allowed to stand over. Accounts having been passed for payment for the amount of £ll2 17s, the meeting terminated,
