Additional awards in Class C.—William Akersten, JNelson, Ist prize] for general exhibit of Marino contrivances; Marco Fosella, Wellington, Ist prize for pawa shell ornaments; T. C. Jenkins, Wellington, Ist prize for recording billiard marker ; Hoffman Bros, Nelson, Ist prize for model of boats. The Judges recommended that Wm. Akersten's invention re compasses should be practically tested by Capt. Gray, of the steamer Stella. Class A.-rE, M, Smith, New Plymouth, highly commended for exhibit of mineral products of the Taranaki district.
