MASTERTON.—FRIDAY. ■ (Before H. A. Stratford, R.M.) Larceny, The charge of larceny preferred against Minnie Wadsworth was continued yesterday after we went to press. For the defence Mr Beard called Mrs Cosford, who deposed that she remembered going to the shop of Mr Graham with the accused on the day. named in the information, and saw her take up the piece of print. They went away together, and she did not see accused take the piece of print with her, P. B. Wadsworth, husband of the accused, also gave evidence, but it only went to show that he was possessed of about £7 or £8 from a cheque he had received about the middle of September. James Cosford also gave evidence. This completed the case for the defence, His Worship said the charge looked very black, and accused's defence was very weak, but there was a shadow of a doubt, and he would give her the benefit of it. She would be discharged, The Court then rose..
