A Committee meeting of the Majtertpn Horticultural Society takes place at 8 p.m, to-morrow. The Court Loyal Enterprise, A.0.F., holds a special meeting in the Foresters Hall, and the Masterton Tent, 1.0. R., in the Temperance Hall to-night, to consider the proposal to take part in the Friendly Societies Demonstration on the 15th nut. at Wellington, On Sunday last an old man named Andrew Lambert, residing at Kowai Bush, Canterbury, was lost between that place and Springfield! When last Been lie was under the influence of liquor. A party went out to look for him, and yesterday morning found his body at the foot of a high terrace, over which it is supposed he had fallen.
