It is the intention of the Victorian Government to introduce a Bill for the protection of women, based on similar lines to the Act now in force in England. The Cabinet has reduced the sentences passed on the first batch of insubordinate Artillerymen to two months imprisonment.

London, September 22. Prince Alexander of Bulgaria, has anved at Phillipopolis, and received a splendid and enthusiastic reception. It is generally believed that the actior of Roumelia in revolting was done unknown to the Powers, and that thoy (the Powers) are anxious to limit the revolutionary movement to the utmost. London, September 22. The Times thiß morning states that Rußsiaand Austria are in favor of appointing a conference to settle theßoumelian Question. It also announces that the Russian Government will require the deposition of Prince Alexander from the throne of Bulgaria.
