THE GRAND ANNUAL SHOW, Under the Auspices and Direction of the WAIR AR APA and EAST COAST PASTORAL . AND AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY Will be held on the SOCIETY'S SHOW GROUNDS, AT CARTERTON ON WEDNESDAY, the 4th day of NOVEMBER, 1885. nnHE Show will include Hokscs, Cattle, I Sheep, Pigs, Implements, Farm and Dairy Produce, Vehicles, and Industrial Exhibits. The Society will, as in previous years, offer about forty gold and silver medals, 03 well aa cash prizes, in each of the above stated sections of exhibits, and in additioajftereto a large number of valuable epe® prizes in cash and in plate have been promised, bringing the total amount of all prizes fully up to the average of the three years, A Leaping Match, a Sheaving Match, and a trial of Sheep Dogs will take place on tho Grounds during the afternoon. Programmes and Prizo Lists giving full information as to conditions of entry, regulations for judging, and all other details are now being prepared, and will bo published and circulated shortly. Arrangements will bo mado to run special railway trains at reduced rates, also to havo the Show Day proclaimed a Bank and General Holiday throughout the Valley. Intending Exhibitors are informed that entrios close on SATURDAY, the 24th of Ootober, 1885, at noon, either at the Secretary's Office, Carterton, or the offiooa of Messrs R. Brown and Co., Masterton; F. H, Wood and Co,, Groytown; and J, D. Oakly, Fcatherston, and that no entrieß can bo received after that date. All communications in reference to the Show addressed to the Secretary at Carterton by letter or telegram will be promptly attended to. Admission to Showgrounds.—Members, free; non-membors, before noon, 2s fid, Ojfflftioon, Is •fffor the purpose of affording more adequate encouragement to certain classes of exhibits, such as Dogs, Poultry, Pigeons, Produco, Industries, Flowers, £bc., Etc., the Society has decided to hold a Beperate Show for these classes during the early part of December, and fall particulars thereof will bo published.
