GREYTOWN-WEDNESDAY. Before H. A. Stratford, R,'M., andF. H. Wood and B. Udy, J.P.s Constable Ecoleton v C. Bishop.— Tethering a, hprse on a rpad. Dismissed. D. Cameron v C. Bishop. offence. Fined 0s and costs ?s, • Alfred Udy, Charles Vamham, Hugh Mitchell, Edwin Udy, and Hart Udy, tertius, all pleaded guilty to a charge of having been absent from volunteer parade on 25th May last, and were fined 5s each and. costs. James Ticehurst was charged by D. Cameron with having allowed a vehicle to Btand on ; a street after sunset without lamps'alight, Defendant pleaded guilty, and was fined 5b and costs. Waiohine Riyer Board v John Jones.—
Detinue £3los. Mr Grey for plaintiff, Mr Sandilands for defendant. The evidence was that the defendant had removed 70 posts split by the River ,Board's woodman. The Court ruled that 2 trees were defendants, and ordered that 35 posts be returned by defendant to the place from whence they wore taken, by Monday next, or pay in default 355, each party to pay their own costs. A prohibition order was granted, to I apply to all the Wairarapa townships, against Samuel Jackson, of Greytown.
