It appears that Ministers are not unanimous over the East and West Coast (Middle Island) railway job. Three of them, namely, Messrs Ballance, Tole, and Larnacii, are, according to the Evening Press, opposed to it, "while the others want to make it a Ministerial question and stand or fall by it, Should this course be decided on, the three dissentients will probably resign. The opponents on the railway scheme on the Ministerial side have been exposed to great pressure, butf(3 % as we can learn, every one of then) has declared his intention for voting against the resolution whether it is made a Ministerial question or not." This is a course which, if carried out, will earn them the respect of every right-thinking elector. Left by thein, the Stout-Vogel Ministry would prove itself a mere wreck, and the remnant would bo bound to resign.
