Mr Bektham lias taken up the fancy bread question, and introduced an Adulteration Prevention Act Amendment Bill in the House, It has two operative clauses, one of which ptovides that it shall come into operation on the Ist of January next, and the other that for the purposes of "The Adulteration Prevention Act 1880 Amendment Acl, 1883," and of all
other enactments relating to the manufacture of bread, Latch loaves and French loitvea of bread shall bo deemed to he loaves of any shape so baked as to show cniinb on any two or more sides thereof; and loaves of any shape so baked as to show crust only on all sides thereof shall be deemed to be fancy bread.
