It appears that we have not yet heard the last of the Sutton enquiry. In the House yesterduy Mr Lancb gave notice that he would ask whether the attention ot the Government has been called to the statements ot the press, containing allegations of a grave nature as to concealment of scab in the Wairarapa in 1882-83 by a settler, during Mr Sutton's inspectorship, and whether Mie Government will cause an inquiry to be held before Mr Sutton receives another' appointment, The Government can have no reasonable objection to cause this matter tc be enquired into, It should have been elucidated by Mr Davy, who, however, would not hear anything about it, although he was informed that, the result of the inquiry which he was conducting would hinge on it.
