ALFREDTON ROAD BOARD.

The ordinary meeting was held in the" Road Board office 011 Saturday last. Present—Messrs Macquaire (chairman), Kebbell, and Von Men. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. Correspondence was 'received from Grown Lands Commissioner, requesting further information re expenditure of deferred payment thirds'onthe Mangaone and Tawataia roads. The Board approved of the Clerks action in having supplied the required information. From Property Tax Commissioner, requesting that a section in the Mangaone bo added to the Crown Lands roll, it having been omitted. From Mines Department, re collection for Exhibition. From Chairman Eketahuna School Committee, requesting the Board to metal about fqur chains of the road leading to the Eketahuna School. . It was resolved that Mr Yon Reden be authorised to have the work done, the cost not to exceed £lO, From Messrs Beard & Gray, re School Commissioners, The Board' approved of the Clerk's action in'having legal opinion on the subject, 1 ! ' ' ' From' Wairarapa West County Council, re County offices, Eketahuna, requesting that the property bo transferred to Epfc County Council on roll. That the Maaterton Board be requested to have the District road debentures transferred, and also request a settlements of accounts.
