Smith Secretary of State for the War Department, brought down a motion for supplementary estimates. In the course of his speech lie informed the House that military preparations were being continued pending a definite settlement with Russia on the Afghan boundary question, Lord Wolsley arrived here to-day from Egypt,' London, July 13, The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company's s.s Arawa, from Lyttelton (June 6), arrived at Plymouth yesterday evening.
