News is to hand from Afghanistan ot a serious rising that has taken place in that country, Isa Khan, aided by Russian allies; has broken out into open revolt against Abdullah Khan, the Afghan governor of the province ot Itlmnduz in the north-east of Afghanistan. He is stated to have taken forcible possession of the town of Khanabad, a short distance from Klmnduz, tlie capita} of the province, and has there wed treasure belonging to Abdurrahman, Anieep of Afghanistan, to the extent of oue rnillon sterling.

Sydney, July 1, The revenue returns were made public to-day. The revenue for the past quarter amounts to L 2,070,000, being an increase over the corresponding period last year jf L2d0,000. The total reyenuo for the past twelve months waß L 7,500,000, being an increase of L 918,000 over the corresponding twelve monthi of 1883-84.
