The difficulty which had arisen between Lord Salisbury, and the Liberal party on the question ef passing the Redistribution of Seats Bill, has been arranged, and the measure was formally passed by .the Lords to-day, after which the House adjourned until Thursday next. Paris, June 23. Advices to hand from the Commander of the French force in Chinese waters, are to the effect that the evacuation of the island of Formosa by the French troops, is now completed. Adelaide, June 24.. Intelligence to hand reports that the barquo Mars, 487 tons, in ballast, from Melbourne, June 4th, was totally Wrecked off the South Australian Coast on the 11th June. Captain Pringle, .with the pilot and two of the crew, were drowned, Melbourne, June 24. Tho examination of the prisoners in custody for tho Simpsons-road Bank robbery was continued to-day. The witness Yates, who has turned Queen's evidence, gave his testimony. He stated that it was he who drove the cart in which were contained the proceeds of the robbery, and furnished the Court with full details of the manner in which the crime was conceived and earned out, At the close of his examinatiou the proceedings were adjourned until Friday next.
