[United Press' Association.] Dunedin, This day. Cyoorge Hagerty, Storekeeper atHindon, was killed yesterday by tho upsetting of a dray. Intelligence has been received here of the drowning, while onthe passage home, on March 16th, of Mr John Gray, a wellknown ex-resident of this city. Napier,'this day. Mr Thos, Tanner, who unsuccessfully opposed-Mr-W. C.' Smith at the last election, has been asked to stand for Tauranga, and has been promised' the support of Sheehan'B committee and the Trade and Labor Society. Mr Tanner is a free trader and provinciabsfc.
