Ir, is therefore doubtful whether any serious attack will be made on the 'Government, at any rate, during the early part of the session, As far as ithe measures to be introduced by the (Jovernment are concerned, they will lie modified so as to meet the views oi the majority of members, whatever position the Government may take up i).bout them. The position is not altogether flattering to the Government or the country, but under present circumstances there seems to be no way of improving it, 1
