The Wairarapa Daily. SATURDAY, JUNE 20, 1885.
With regard to the state ot parties and the probabilities of the session, we learn'from Wellington that there is a great deal of. dissatisfaction among .members on both sides of tho House; but tlnitan idea prevails that the country is not quitfi ready for a change. Ir, is therefore doubtful whether any serious attack will be made on the 'Government, at any rate, during the early part of the session, As far as ithe measures to be introduced by the (Jovernment are concerned, they will lie modified so as to meet the views oi the majority of members, whatever position the Government may take up i).bout them. The position is not altogether flattering to the Government or the country, but under present circumstances there seems to be no way of improving it, 1
