[United Press Association.] Auckland, This Day, Mr.' Kelly has announced' the withdrawal of the proceedings to void the Tauranga election, on account of Mr Sheehan being critically ill at Napier. Invercabgill, this day. The Land Board has resolved to recommend the Government to allow deferred payment selectors to capitalize after one years residence instead of three years, as at present.
Wellington, this day. At the parade of the City Guards last night, Corporal Barry was brought up, charged with firmg a rifle out of a railway carriage whilst returning from the review on the 25th May. lie was admonished and reduced to the ranks, being debarred from holding a non-commissioned officership for 12 months. Corporal O'Neill, for a similar oflence, did not appear, and has, in consequence been recommended to be dismissed from the Volunteer force. Napier, this day. Mr Sheehan still lies in a critical condition, and small hopes are entertained of liis recovery. '
