For obvious reasons telegraph lines must, when practicable, be constructed along the Ijjie of railway, and a tremendous expentlityre of public money puld be riecessarj' tp construct a telegraph lirjg frpm Dreyertown to Pahiatya tnrqygh such heavy bugh. This outlay wQiild be absolutely thrown away, as the line would almost immediately have to be reconstructed along the railway line, Telegraph or telephone communication with Dreyertown, Mauriceville and Eketahuna is no doubt very desirable, but until the Government can be compelled to push on the railway there is 110 hope of getting it. lam, etc., Practical,
