The steamer will be absent fiom Auckland exactly one month, half of which will be spent in voyaging and half in visiting and exploring the islands. Only first class passengers will bo taken, and the number-will be limited to 100. Passengers must book by Ist July, and unless 70 are booked by that date the excursion will not take place. The attention of intending passengers is drawn to this provision, as it will be strictly observed.

MY new Winter Stock amounts to £2,000, and knowing this immense quantity of goods to bo rather a large speculation for Carterton (especially owing to the keen competition), I have marked the goods at such prices that will ensure a ready sale. | It is a well known fact that large quantities can be purchased at a much less rate than small. As air instance,— Through buying three bales of Blankets (150 pairs), I obtained a concession of 20 per cent., or 4s in the £. This, ffith the Cash Discount, enables me to sell my Blankets 25 per cent. Cheaper than any Carterton Storekeeper, This also aplies k the wJiule of my New Winter Stock. I have not made the mistake (which I notice many have) of opening my goods too early in the season, consequently I have no "fly blown" Blankets, nor faded Goods of any kind. Having now eveiy facility—Magnificent New Stock, Large Store, No Rent, and Small Expenses,—l mean to do the Business of Carterton, Please Gail and Inspect my GRAND WINTER DISPLAY before ordering elsewhere. a. M. GARDENER 'CRITERION' STORE, CARTERTON. 1795 G. F, MANSELL, = Tobacconist & Fancy Goods Dealer, HAS re-opened in his new premises next THEATRE ROYAL, Queen-Street, Masterton. A complete stock of Meerschaums, Briars and fancy pipes. Cigarettes and cigars of the finest brands. 198G
