THE UNION STEAMSHIP COMPANY OF NEW ZEALAND (Limited) purpose despatching their fine new steamer WAIRARAPA from Auckland, on Thursday, 16th July. on a cruise to Fiji, Samoa, Tonga, and other islands of the South Pacific. The steamer will be absent fiom Auckland exactly one month, half of which will _be spent in voyaging and half in visiting and exploring the islands. Only first class passengers will be taken, and the number will be limited to 100. Passengers must book by Ist July, and unless 70 are booked by that date the excursion will not take place. The attention of intending passengers is drawn to this provision, as it will be strictly observed.

To ensure the greatest comfort during the voyage, special arrangements will be made for berthing passengers, allowing liberal accommodation to each, while the date lias been fixed with a view to the islands being visited a the best season of the year, Fare, £4O from Auckland. . Should sufficient inducement offer a second trip will be made on the return of the steamer in August, when Fiji will be omitted, and the excursion willbeextended to embrace Tonga. Samoa, Tahiti. and others of the beautiful groups of the South Seas. This excursion will probably occupy six weeks, and passengers must book on or before Monday, 27th June, on which date it will be decided whether or not the Excursion will be carried out.
