The judging distance practice of the four Rifle corps of the district, having taken place on the same ground, will bo looked forward to with some interest, but owing to some important omissions in the Carterton register sheets, the result of the practice of that corps oannot be obtained, The highest score made, however, was 7 points. Greytown Rifles. 'Average, 4'87 ;32 competitors. The eight highest scorers are Vols. Goodin and Lundqvistwithßeach, Yols. W, S. Collier, F. Collier, T. Fisher, Tommy Eiamaha, Ware Taura, and J. Cameron, 7 each; • JjtopTQJf ftj]^ Average, 8'74; 49 competitors, The eight highest scorers being Vols, tjoar 10, R. McKenzio 9, A. Vile 9, G,' F. Armstrong, A. J. Minifie, G. Bentley, 1 F. Bright, and T. Brown, 8 each. Featherston Rifles. Average, 5*81; 37 competitors. The eight highest being Lieut. Brunskill 14, Col.-Sergt. Kemp 11, Sergt. Smith 11, Corpl. Benton 9, Vols, C. Worsley, Wilson, and Olsen, 9 each, Vol, Feast, 8, ' The general ayerago is not good, as 16 is the pqssibje, It will' be noticed that £lie Fe'atherdton Rifles jpye a alight lead uijthe average, and the highest qcqrers.
