RIFLE MATCH.
The Masterton Rifles fired in a match against the Carlisle (England) volunteers on Saturday. It had been arranged that the two teams should fire on the same day. The weather was not altogether favourable for shooting, but Volunteer Wilton, nevertheless, succeeded in putting together the splendid score of 32 out of a possible 35 at 600 yards-a feat whioh has probably never been surpassed in the Wairarapa, Tlw following are the scores :
