Sir.—Your correspondent " Spur" is evidently not the right kind of man to impart a little history to, on any subject, as he evidently is quite incapable of doing the sifting that is necessary before rushing into print with a " cock and bull story" that someone had primed him with, and as a sequel to his weakness in his natural disposition, he made no less than four misstatements in this letter of the 15th hist., wljich he'ijrigl|t Ijaye ayojdef} publishing. qr|i!)ary fjjs,: oretion, In Qgnglujion Jet me advise "Spur" to amend his ways a little, and should he feel inclined to cast a few more aspersions at me on this or any, other matter, to come out in his true colors and sign his name at the bottom of them, and 1 will attend to them, but not till then.
