In the Rouse of Commons to-day, Lord Edmund Fitzmaurice, UnderSecretary for Foreign affairs, stated that Colonel Bidgway still remained in charge of *he Afghan boundary Commission, Sydney, May 8, The fitting up and arming of the Peninsular anil Oriental Company's s.s. Massilia as a cruiser has been completed, and she sailed to-day from this port on her first cruise, • Melbourne, May 8. The Governments of Victoria and South Australia have endorsed the circular sent out by Mr Dalley, with regard to the joint responsibility of the Colonies for injuries inflicted by hostile cruisers.
