Weuington, This Day, The writs for the Oamaru and Tauranga elections to the House of Representatives will be issued on Friday, and the elections will take place within six weeks from that date.
The City of Sydney left San Francisco with the March English mails on April 12th, one day late. The Australia arrived at 'Frisco with the March Colonial mails on April 20, one day before timetable date.
Auckland, This Day. A crowded public meeting was held at Levuka on March 27th, when a resolution was carried, favorable to the Annexation of Fiji by Now Zealand. It was decided to prepare a petition to the New Zealand Legislature praying for its endorsement.
