PAHIATUA ROAD BOARD.

An adjourned meeting was held at the Board's new office on Saturday last. Pre--Bent-Meaiir§ |, M, Dayie (chairman), Hall, Avery, and Hi Sedcoio.

The minutes qf the jjroviims mooting wore road and oonnrmed.

Correspondence inwards was read from Mr Olson re puruhaso of metal quarry ; outwards, to Mr Rioiu re olaim for metal taken from section 22; to Mr Giles, contractor for metalling Tiraumea road, re proceeding with his contract. Rcßolved—That in consequonco of tho contractor throwing Vjp contract No 4, Tiraumea road, tho tonus of contract b'o adhered to and that he forfeit tho twentyfive per cent due, amounting to £9 0s 2d, Resolved—That in all future contracts payment for the first eighth of work"completed be retained till completion of contract.

Resolved—That tho overseer repair the worat places on the Tiraumea road by day labor.

Resolved-Tjiat Jlr \Vh}tcQmboV account, as amended, amounting to £7O, be paid; that Ifr Qlsen be paid £ls on account of quarry; that Mr (jrjinp's balance on account of building office be drawn and retained until the varnishing is completed ; that Mr Gjjep b,e paji} for extra work on No. 2 and 3 contract; and that the balance of 15% due on No. 4, £23 6s 3d, be paid; total—£l49 6s 3d.
