The Grand Jury found true bills, in all cases except those of Samual A'Court, accused of committing', grievous bodily harm, and. Charles Hanker, aiding and abetting Richard Hanker in arson. Three' prisoners were tried to-day and acquitted. These were Jan.es Swanson, larceny from tho person, Elizabeth Ireland, arson, and Edward Yaughari, larceny. Dunedin, April Bth.
In the Supreme Court Robert Nash was found guilty of stealing and pawning a watch, and sentenced to a month. Hans Hansen, stabbing, to three months, which ho has already spent in gaol; George Piper, larceny, to six months; Albert Green, embezzlement, three years; Frederick Gowe, larceny, twelye months; John Couseiis, larceny, twelve months; Carry Fleming, was found guilty of'child beating, sentence being deferred. In the case of James Wyatt and James Eastwood, robbery, the jury disagreed. ■ H. D. Willcox, telegraphist and postmaster at Alexandra South, got two years for embezzlement.

Asiibtoton, April 8, ■ The Grand Lodge, 1.0.ff.T,, resumed this morning at 9 o'clock, and continued the consideration of the Qfiioial reports, which were adopted, It was resolved to. rescind the resolution seeking severance from the Worthy G. L.; that the executive urge upon the Government the necessity of taking vigorous measures for the better enforcement of the provisions of the Licensing Act regarding the illegal'sale of liquor during prohibited hours, and to this end that inspectors of licensed houses be appointed, as provided for in the Licensing Act. Fraternal greetings were received from tho Grand Lodge of Victoria, which is now in session. Resolutions were adopted recommending the friendly societies not to meet in licensed houses, and that the Government open the Savings Banks from 7 to 8 p.m. on Wednesdays and Saturdays. An address of welcome was presented to Mr Samuel Capper.
