CASTLEPOINT ROAD BOARD.
A meeting of the Board was hold on Saturday last. Present—Messrs Belliss, Harvoy, Handy/ride, Langdon, Meredith, and Warren, In the absence of Mr Mackay,' Mr Handyside was voted to the cljair, '''■ The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed, The Treasurer reported a balance in the bank of £lB4 15s 2d, and a balance available for future expenditure of £2ll 8s lOd, The Overseer's report was read and .considered " The following letters were read:— From the Registrar General, with return forms to be filled in; from the Provincial Auditor, applying for. a copy of the balance slfeot for the" past year. The Oleit lyas cjlrqcfet} to supply the retiirns to the Provincial Auditor and the Registrar General, Resolved,—Tliafc the rates due for the current year on Crown Lands be allocated as follows: £lO eaoh to No. 1, 2, and 3 Subdivisions, the balance to bo equally divided between No. 4,6, and 1 Subdivisions. That a sum of £BS be granted for work on the Akiteo river road at the first falls, and that Mr Liverton be granted extension of time to expend the grant on Kkowqi rjoad. That a suft) of £35 be grated for metalling the finui "Valley road. Tl)at the Collector be directed to take proceedings tg recqyer sll outstanding rates. That Mr IJenderaqn be allowed a further extension of time to complete his oontraots, and that progress payments be made to him of £3O, That the Olerk apply for the rates due on the Native lands, The following accounts were passed for payment Metalling main road, £l2 Is lOd; salaries, £23 16s lid; printing, 14s 3d; Akiteo river, £l4 6s Bd.
