The language was very reprehensible. Defondant pleaded that ho did uot recollect any tiling about it, as lie?" was the worse for liquor, Sentenced to 24 hours' i imprisonment. j Same v John Kiddie—Disturbing the peace on Sunday, Defendant was fined 30s and 28s costs, in default fourteen days hard labor, E, Orbell v John Reynolds, Defendant was charged with being the owner of certain sheep infected with lice, Defendant •pleaded'guilty, and was fined 20s and : costs. F. Wallbridge v J. H. Powell-Claim \ 16s Cd, Mr Skipper for plaintiff, Mr ' Sandilands for defendant, This claim arose out of the impounding of plaintiff's cattle, the amount being paid under protest by defendant as trespass fees, The defence was that the charge was for sustenance fees. The evidence did not support this plea, and judgment was entered for plaintiff, with costs 255. E. L. Wakelin v H, Cheshire-Claim £1 17 s 4d, As the bill of particulars furnished by tho plaintiff was not in the proper form, tho plaintiff, on the Court's advice, withdrew the claim with a view to future proceedings. Andrew McCasky, charged by Constable Darby with being drunk and disorderly, was fined 20s or. 48 hours' imprisonment.
