A PETITION having been, presented to the Council praying for the constitution of a New Road District to be called theMauricevilleß'oad District, purporting to be signed by two-thirds of the resident householders within-the proposed new district, notice is hereby given that in accordance with the provisions of the Road Boards Act, 1882, the-following resolution will be proposed at a meeting of the Council to be held on Tuesday the tenth of March next. This Council hereby, by special order, declares that portion of the Masterton Road District comprising one continuous area and bounded on the Northfrom the summit of the Tarawa range to the north west corner of section 99 Block lYKopuaranga Survey District by the Alfredton Road District, thence towards the west by the Upper Tauetu Road District, to the South East cjmior of sectionlM), and by part of Section 120 to Section 121 of the same block, thence towards the south generally by Section 121 and 123 of the same block, Sections, 122,124,126,128,3,12,11,10, 9, and part of Section 8, Block X, Sections, 77, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, 59, and 27, Block IX, all of the Kopuaranga survey district, section 31, Block XII, Mikimiki survey district to the centre of the Ruamahanga river, thence by that centre to the north-east cornor of Section 70, Block IV, Mikimiki survey district, thence by a right lino bearing 90° 0' 0" magnetic to centre of Waingawa river, and by iliat centre to the summit of theTararua range, and thence on the west by the Manawatu County.to the point of commencement,, shall constitute a now Road district' to be called the Mauriceville Road district.
