A PETITION having been presented to the Council praying for the constitution of a New Road District to be called the Mauriceville Road District, purporting to be signed by two-thirds of the resident householders within the proposed new district, notice is hereby given that in accordance with the provisions of the Road Boards Act, 1882, the following resolution will be proposed at a meeting of the Council to be held on Tuesday the tenth of March next. This Council hereby, by special order, declares that portion of the Masterton Road District comprising one continuous area and bounded on the North from the summit of tho Tararua range to the north west corner of section 99BlocklVKopuaranga Survey District by the Alfredton Road District, thence towards the'west by the Upper Taueru Road District, totheSouth East corner of sectionllO, and by part of Section 120 to Section 121 of the same block, thence towards the south generally by Section 121 and 123 of the same block, Sections, 122,124,12G, 128,3,12,11/10, 9, and part of Section 8, Block X, Sections, 77, 40,41, 42, 43,44,45, 09, and 27, Block IX, all of the Kopuaranga survey district, section 31, Block XII, Mikhniki Burvey district, to the centre of the Ruamahanga river, thence by that centre to the north-east comer of Section 76, Block IV.
