PAHIATUA ROAD BOARD.
The Pahiatua Road Board met on Saturday last. Present—Messrs McOardle (Chairman), H. Sedcole, C, Avery, J. Hall, D. Crewe, and Smith.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed, OORBES.POKCEIpE. Outwards.—A lettor to Public Works Department asking permission for Board to use gravel out of pits alongside' main road.
Inwards.—From Masterton Highway soard$ oard stating that £IOO was awaiting the f)i§ Board to composition arranged' by" roeejjina of Relegates from Road'Boards,'and resolution giving power to' Board"to cp|lccX amars of rates.
From tlm overseer asking fgr increase of wages, From PuMic Works Department granting application for Joan when cpdltjpnp are carried out, PSOLVED, That Mr Davie he granted leavg of absonce from that meeting,
That the Waßte Lands Board be asked to furnish working drawings of the Tore tai-Puketoi road, and any other roads in the district that may be laid off in future,
That the Board hold a special meeting on Saturday ovening next at 7.30 p.m. That the ovorseer's money be increased Is per day.
That Mr A. W. Sedcolo's offer of an acre of land for a gravel pit for the sum of £2O, .£lO to bo paid at onco, tho balance when title is obtained, be accepted i s akj9 that the Minister of Public Works be'applied to to'b'rjng it under the Public Works' Act/ "" r;r ' !:3 ' : ' ■'' Thatwithafew'slight alterations the specifications as submitted by M' H, Scdcole be accepted, and that tondore b& called for at once to be in by noon on Saturday next.
