A meeting of the above Board was held oirtlie lith' innfc, |res,onhrMessrs McCardle (Chairman) Davie; : Hall, H. Sedcqle, J. Smith, and Crewe. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and. confirmed, Qqmsppnpence, i Outwards—A letter to Mr Witcomb re his accounts and taking matal from off road line; To Messrs Hughes Bros., stating that the Board had accepted the site offered for £25. Inwards,—From Public Works Department sanctioning taking poll of ratepayers re loans of £IBO6 under clause 54 of Roads and Bridges Construction Act; From Mr Potter asking for refund of £2 7s which he had paid for clearing tracks on road line into sections two and five, Makuri. RESOLVED; That the letter- from tho Public forks Department be given effect to pubjept tq rectification of names of roads, That Mr Whitcombe'a account stand over till next meeting. That the Clerk write to Public Works
Department asking permission to take gravel from open pits on the Fortaffile Bush Reserve. W That Mr Giles receive one penny per yard in addition to his contract price'for No 1 Contract in consideration of the extra distance he will have to draw nietal.
That a committee to consist of Messrs Hall, Davie, Crewe, and Sedcole inspect the gravel on the Tiraumea road with a view of treating with section holders' for the same, '] The meeting then adjourned.
