MASTERTON MUSEUM.
An entertainment in aid of the funds of the above institution will take place this evening in the Theatre Royal, the programme of which is published in our advertising colomns. The performance commonces with a comedy-drama entitled "My Little Darling," in which the different characters are impersonated by Miss Agnes Montagu, Me§W W. Rapp, A, Maitland, G, Armstrong,- and A, Thompson, It is a pretty little drama of ordinary life, and tends to show how it is possible for a courageous woman to act when placed in a most uncomfortable and dangerous position by saving her husband's honor and "bagging" the burglar. There is sufficient of the comedy element introduced to afford a considerable amount of amusement. This is followed by operatic selections by the Masterton String Band imder the able leadership of Mr Keisenberg, Mr S, H, Wickerson is to sing a ballad, and Mr Rapp will repeat his local parody on " All that. Glitter*, is not Gold" entitled " The Walnmpa Guid Mine," with which, it may be remem< bered, he some time ago scored a sucoeas, Miss Montagu will, by special request, sing Stephen Adam's celebrated descriptive nautical song of" The Little Hero." Last, but by no means least, Mr Cecil Riverton (who of course is easily recognisable under his nom de gwm) is to favor us with ono of his much-appreciated ballads. The entertainment will conclude with a screaming farce. On the whole, the programme is one of the best that has been presented before a Masterton audience for some time past, and we trust, that all lovers of a thorough good evenIng'e amusement will not miss the opportunity that is now offeree} tlienj
