The usual monthly meeting of the Carterton Town Coard was held in the Council Chambers on Monday afternoon. Present: Messrs. R ; .'Fairbrother (chairman), H. Parker, .Camgbell,. Callister, and.Vickerstaff. - - .«-■•

' The quarterly report of thelnspectorof Nuisances was read,- there-was nothing to report worthy of notice; but.' he would ask Committee to -appoint regular Bale days for Impounded stock. It was resolved that all sales take place at noon at every Saturday. It was resolved that the new scale of Impounding charges bo painted in a conspicuous.place At- thepound. . ItwasresolvedJhat.a'man should be employed, to cut briars and overhanging trees, that now were'found inconvenient by foot passengers, It was resolved that. Mr Parker take charge of Parkes -Roads Ho make the money voted go as far as possible, Resolved—that half a dozen rough trestles be made for the purpose of protecting newly formed parts -ofthe roads. Accounts amounting to jlj ?b (3d were, passed for payment.
