All entries to be made subject to the condition that all disputes, claims and .objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by a majority of Steward present, or whom they may appoint, and that such decision shall be' final ana binding, in all cases, Nominations for Handicap Hurdle Baoe, Taratahi-Carterton Jockey Club Handicap and Anniversary Handicap, to be made in writing, stating name, the nomination fee, to the Hon Secretary C. H. Giles, Carterton on or before Saturday the 3rd of January, 1885, at 9p.m.' Weights to bo declared on Wednesday, fth January, 1888, at 9 p.m., and published in the local newspaper. Acceptances and general entries to be made on or before Tuesday the 13th day of January, 1885, at 9 p,m, No protest will be considered unless lodged with the Secretary within fifteen minutes after the race, and accompanied by a dißpoait of two pounds, which shallbe forfeited if the Stewards are of opinion that the protest is frivolous or vexatious!
