A PROPOSAL to levy a special rate /\_ to. meet the yearly instalments on a ant of £(JS9 for expenditure on the Eketahuna-Tinui line of road having been carried by poll on the 20th of June last, I hereby give notice that the Council intends, at a special meeting to be held on SATURDAY, the 24th day of January, 1885, at 11 a.m, to strike a special rate of one-eleventh of a penny in the £ on the rateable, value of all properties included within the Eketahuna to Tinui road rating area. . .'■ .- The rate will be an annually 'recurring rate for a period' of ten years, payable .yearly at the County.
