A PROPOSAL to levy a special rate to meet the yearly instalments on a grant gf £GSO for expenditure on the Eketahuna-Tinui line of road having been carried by poll on the 20th of June last, I hereby givo notice, that tho Council intends, at a special meeting to be held on SATURDAY, the 24th day of January, 1885, at 11 a.m. to strike a special rate of one-eleventh of a penny in the £ on the rateable value of all* propertieß included within the Eketahuna to Tinui road rating area. 1 The rato will ho an annually recurring rate for a period often years, payable yearly/at the County Offices, Masterton, on the first day' of March in each year, and the first payment will be payable, on the Ist dayof March, 1885. j The rate bpok is open for inspection during office'h'ours at tho.
