A PROPOSAL to levy a special rate to meet the yearly instalments on a grant of £659 for expenditure on the Eketahuna-Tinui line of road having been carried by poll on . the 20th of June last, I hereby give notice that the Council intends, at a special meeting to be held on SATURDAY, the 24th day of January, 1885, at 11 a.m. to strike a special rate of one-eleventh of a penny in the £ on the rateable value of all properties included within the Eketahuna to Tinui road rating area.
