Messrs Godfrey and Pisk were appointed liquadaton... It was .'also resolved that a meeting be called that day month to confirm the resolution and give outside shareholders an opportunity of attending. The directors kid no report before the meeting, and it was stated that no money was in • hand. Telegrams protesting against liquadation were received [from the Wellington and Wanganui share holders. Owing to the small.number present it was doubtful if it was legal, and the chairman agreed to consult a solicitor on the subject.
Balclutha, Tuesday, Hopkins b Jowitt's flour and oatmeal mills, Balclutha, were totally destroyed by fire at three o'clock thismorning. Ifc is believed that the lire originated in the engino room.
