OAKGROYE is by Irvington, dam Lady Sylvia, one of the most celebrated trotting horses in America, and conies from a-dis-tinguished strain. Irvingtnu was sired by Eysdyk's HamMotoman, by Abdullah, first dam by Imogcne, by Seclcy's American Star. OAKGROVE is a beautiful bay, five years old, and stands seventeen hands high, ot immense power, grand bone, combining speed with strength, and is adapted to get first class weight carrying hacks andcoachers. His full brothers on the AmericaD track have hardly ever been beatcu, their recorded time in harness per mile being 2min 28aec8, An Irviugton two-year-old was sold recently to Mr Rothschild for 5000 dollars. OAKGROVE, with his sire Irvington and his brother Corhitt, was imported in Sept., 1883, by Mr John Kerr, tho well known Kelson breeder, and he is now admitted to be one of the grandest specimens of the fast American Trotter that has ever been introduced to a British colony.
