The Grey town. Horticultural and Industrial Society Spring Show which takes place on Thursday next, is being anxiously looked forward to, and it is expected to be one of the most successful ever held, ths season being very favorable. It is expected there yjjj be a first class show of fruits, flowers and vegetables. During the evening we understand the private band will play some of their choice dance musio and the lovors of the "light fantastic" will have the supper rooms set apart for dancjng. Beard occupied ,the cljair, and after the minutes of tjio previous ipeetiug had heen read and confirmed, introduced the business of the meeting, which lyaa as to whether it was advisable to practice on the Oval for the present. After consider-* able discission it was decided that no great harm would be done to the ground if care were exercised in choosing a different pitch atevery practice, and it was resolved to commence play in the Park at once. The question of electing a captain was postponed till next meeting, and after some other routine business had been transacted the meeting adjourned

The Phoenix Lodge, 1.0.Q-.T ,- held their usual meeting at the Temperance Hall, last night, W.C.T, Bro, Ridding presiding, A presentation was made by Bro Sillers, Past W .C. T., to the Lodge of a complete set of Smkey's hymns set to music, and a Blue Ribbon song book was also given by one of the sisters. A plan and estimates of a proposed new half was handed in, and a committee consisting of Bros Ridding, Carpenter, Glass, and Brown, were appointed a building com-* mittee to report at the next meeting upon the advisability of accepting the plan and proceeding with the building forthwith. The proposed mi bull ii adopted on the plan submitted, would haee a frontage to Chapel-street of thirty feet, and would be built immediately in front of and connected with the present structure, which would be used aa the ante roonj when meetings were being held in tho hall, ores a lilrary and committee room at other times when required. It was reported that there would be no difficulty in obtaining the necessary funds for the building, the security being ample. It.waa acknowledged on all sides that the present significantly small edifice was a drawback to the increase of membership, and that it was absolutely pssential to increase the accommodation, The oveping concluded with harmony.
