RULES AND REGULATIONS. To be runundorthe Masterton and Opaki Jockey Club Rules. The Saddling BellWl ring at 12 each day, and the first race' start at 12.30 o'clock. The time for starting each event will bo duly posted on the course after , each preceding race. Hack races are open to i horses that havenever won an advertised race other than hack racea, or that have not run i for an advertised race for sis months previous \ to date of meeting. The District Race is . open to all horses owned in. the difltriot at least six months previous to this race mooting, In case of a protest the same must be lodged with the Secretary within 15 minutes after the race has been run, with a deposit of £2, such deposit to be forfeited if the 1 protost be found trivial or vexations. The winnor of the 8 stone Hack Raoe will not be ' allowed to run for the one or, the aeoond day, No scratching of boraes allowed, • unless through the Secretary, and 15 1 minutes before the time of starting. All entries to be made on the Club's print > ed forms, entrance money enclosed, with name, age at the tine of entry, and pedigree 3 of the horse, name of owner, and oolors of i rider.
